Having me organize a tasting for you and your friends is one of the best ways to share that connection because you can have all of that history, knowledge, and camaraderie brought to you.

How It Works

Whether a Private or Corporate Event, or virtual or in person, I can help you with any tasting package you want to put together. Please take a look at some of the options below:

Private Party or Corporate Event

PRIVATE PARTY TASTINGS – $200

Do you want to host an educational tasting, party, or small event with whisky but don’t know where to start? Let me handle all the logistics so that all you have to do is show up and drink. I will put together a 2 hour tasting that will encompass whisky history, a tasting, and a Q&A about whisky and culture.

CORPORATE TASTINGS – $400

Impress your clients with a formal whisky tasting. Our whisky experts will attend in formal wear and present the whisky in whichever way you prefer. Typically that means:

2 hours of expertise with one of the following:

A pour station where attendees approach the table to receive scotch and a discussion about what they are drinking
A class where attendees are seated and receive a presentation of each whisky tasted

For large groups consider hiring an additional whisky expert for $200 more

In Person or Virtual

What type of tasting do you want to have?

I am based in Southern California so can accommodate in person tastings within the region. For areas outside of that, or those wishing for virtual zoom tastings, I can help with arranging the purchase of tasting kits from online sites and providing education on the whisky from the comforts of your own homes.

Who Supplies the Whisky?

Who Brings The Whisky?

Getting whisky to in-person tastings can be done a couple ways:

I bring the whisky

I will obtain 4-6 bottles of whisky covering various regions, expressions, or types of whisky want to try. I will purchase the bottles and send you the invoice to be reimbursed later. This will provide approximately 50 pours (depending on the size of the pour).

You bring the whisky

I will work with you to recommend 4-6 bottles for your tasting. My connections are at your disposal. The only difference will be that you are going out to make the physical purchases yourself.

Virtual Tastings

For virtual tastings, I can point you in the direction of vendors that will sell tasting kits or arrange to have mini samples sent out. Reimbursement for supplies/shipping of samples for educational purposes will be added onto the invoice.

Add-Ons

Here are some additional add-ons that can spruce up your tasting:

+$1/head – Tasting Sheets – I will design and print tasting sheets for your table if you require it

+$1/head – Glencairn whisky glasses – I will bring Glencairn whisky glasses to loan should you need glassware

+ $20/head – Whisky above entry level. Bottles not usually available at everyday shops.

+ $30/head – Whisky averaging above $120 in value each. Private bottlings, limited editions, and older distillery bottlings.

+ $50/head – Whisky averaging above $200 in value each. Rarities whose quality matches that of many elite bottles.

+ $100/head – Luxury bottles or award winning collectibles sought by whisky enthusiasts.
